The Baton Rouge police officer who inaccurately depicted that a man shot at him during a traffic stop in August was fired Thursday.

According to BRPD, Officer Yuseff Hamadeh was terminated after an administrative discipline hearing from a reported officer-involved shooting, due to a lack of evidence

20-year old Raheem Howard was accused of firing a single shot at Officer Hamadeh in the 2000 block of North 15th Street on August 7, 2018.

Hamadeh’s firing comes on the heels of Howard being released from the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison after all charges against him were dropped.

We’re told this criminal investigation has now been turned over to the District Attorney’s Office.
