A Shreveport man accused of defrauding investors of nearly $100 million is arraigned on new charges in federal court.
David deBerardinis showed no emotion in court when he pleaded not guilty to the long list of charges, which include mail fraud and wire fraud.
According to the original indictment, deBerardinis used a ponzi scheme to finesse more than $96 million from investors. Despite facing several of his accusers in the courtroom, he seemed unfazed.
The government has thousands of transaction documents which will be delivered to the judge and attorneys.
A meeting has been set for July 31 for the judge and attorneys to discuss those documents. A trial date has not been set.
