The Parish of Caddo, in partnership with the Caddo Clerk of Court and other partners, is hosting a summit to educate residents on how to get misdemeanor charges expunged from the public record.
The Caddo Parish Second Chance Adult Expungement Summit and Resource Fair will be held on Thursday, August 16 from 9am to 1pm at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds Agricultural Building, 3701 Hudson Avenue, in Shreveport, Louisiana. This event is free and open to the public.
Two informational sessions on the expungement process will be offered at 9:00am and 11:00am. Forms and paperwork will be provided. Seating will be limited, so participants are encouraged to arrive on time and at least fifteen minutes early.
Residents who attend the summit can get more information on how to get misdemeanors removed from public records. They also can speak with attorneys present and get free basic counseling on misdemeanor expungement. The resource fair will include various organizations and businesses and will take place from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
