Call from concerned citizen lands 4 alleged car burglars in jail

Police have arrested two adults and two teens in connection with a car burglary spree in Shreveport.

The incident happened shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 9100 block of Mansfield Rd.

Officers were responding to reports of suspicious activity when they found four people around vehicles at the Arbors Apartment Complex.

Surveillance video allegedly showed 19-year-old Kane Koob and 22-year-old William Austin Edmonds, and two minors working together to commit multiple vehicle burglaries.

Detectives were also able to find evidence that linked Koob and Edwards to vehicle burglaries that occurred at the apartment complex on Dec. 5.

The stolen property was located and returned to the owners.

Koob and Edmonds were booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a count each of Attempted Simple Burglary and four counts each of Simple Burglary.

The two juveniles were booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center on one count each of Attempted Simple Burglary and Simple Burglary.
