People on Marston Avenue are annoyed.
They say the street is difficult to travel and there’s been constant construction for two years but weeks ago they say work on the street stopped, leaving it in shambles.
Neighbors say their cars are barely able to go up and down the street.
They say people traveling the street are forced to veer off the road so other people can pass by.
People say the road is so narrow it would take emergency crews too long to access an emergency.
“If 911 had to get down here and everything else they can’t do it. There’s no way possible they could get through it,” said resident, Albert Ivoy.
“It’s been verbal on the street about who’s gone move and who won’t,” said Chet Doskocil.
The city of Shreveport says the construction comes from a water main project that’s almost complete.
They say they’ve had problems with the contractors that’s why the project is at a standstill.
They say they’ve also notified residents on the reason why.
There is no word on when the project will be finished.
