UPDATE 2/13/19 3:00am

Rapper Mystikal’s release has been delayed due to a paperwork issue at Caddo Correctional Center.

His attorney says three separate shifts at the center did not input his information correctly, so his $3 million bail did not post. Mystikal is now expected to be released Wednesday, according to his attorney.

Oringial Story:  If all goes as planned, the rap star who has been in jail since August 2017 will be free on bond late Tuesday night.

The only thing standing between Michael “Mystikal’ Tyler and his freedom is a signature from the president of the record company that has made a deal with the rapper to make new albums. That signature will guarantee funds for the $3 million bond required to release Tyler.

Tyler is charged with 1st Degree Rape and 2nd Degree Kidnapping that allegedly happened in October 2016 Tyler has been held on $2 Million – which was increased to $3 Million – bond since he turned himself in to Caddo Correctional Center in August 2017 after learning a warrant had been sworn out for his arrest.

After he is freed, Tyler plans to go to his home in south Louisiana until he is required to be in court for hearings. His next court date is March 6.
