Community members are honoring veterans today by placing holiday ornaments at the northwest Louisiana veterans cemetery.
People are paying respect to fallen veterans this holiday season putting wreaths on their tombstones.
It’s an annual tradition showing passed military are not forgotten during the holidays.
The wreath laying included family, friends and living veterans.
Ginger Hartman from Boone Funeral Home said,”they deserve this, each and everything we can do for them they deserve it. These soldiers didn’t know wether it rained or not they went so this is why we do this kind of thing just to let them know thank you.”
This is the eleventh year community members and families laid down wreaths.
