Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputies are seeking help finding an interesting looking couple with poor spelling skills who have been cashing counterfeit checks in the area, according to Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator.

The checks, styled “Sarah Hicks Interior Design,” have been cashed in the Shreveport area, and the business name is often misspelled, according to CPSO Deputy Robert Presley.  The account information, however, have been cashed using account information for a local body shop.

The suspects purchased gift cards and goods with the checks then attempted to return them for cash at other locations.

The man wears a camouflage hat, while the woman is described as having a large build and a deep voice. Detectives say they’re traveling in a black four-door sedan, possibly a Chrysler 200.

Anyone with information regarding these two people is asked to call Presley at 675-2170 or Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
