The Caddo Sheriff’s Office is warning people that drunk driving won’t be tolerated this Labor Day.

Sheriff Steve Prator said, “If you’re over the limit and you drive, you’re under arrest.”

A grant provided by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission will provide additional funding for deputies to conduct extra patrols in Caddo Parish for the national mobilization of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” awareness campaign.

The added patrols will take place from Aug. 17 through Sept. 3.

Sheriff Prator is urging everyone to be safe and have fun for the last holiday of the summer.

Prator said, “Don’t put yourself or others at risk. Plan ahead. Designate a sober driver in advance. Call a friend, call a cab, or stay put.”
