Crime Stoppers tip helps put felony battery suspect behind bars

Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers has helped get another wanted suspect off the streets.

Clarence Ruffin, 32, who was accused of attacking his friend during an argument earlier this month, was arrested Thursday morning after Shreveport Police received a tip that led to his location.

The incident happened back on Aug. 6 in the 8000 block of Line Ave.

Ruffin allegedly punched his friend in the mouth several times causing lacerations.  Several of her teeth were knocked loose as well requiring her to need braces.  

Ruffin was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of 2nd Degree Battery. No bond has been set.
