Deputies on the hunt for armed and dangerous murder suspect

Authorities are trying to track down an armed and dangerous suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of man in Natchitoches.

Sheriff’s deputies are actively searching for 26-year-old Quincy Dewayne Nash.

Nash is wanted for Second Degree Murder in the shooting death of 32-year-old Brian Keith Williams Jr. 

Detectives responded to a shots fired call on Monday afternoon in the 100 block of Boston Fowler Rd. off of La. Hwy 6 East.

Williams was later found on Rex Waterwell Rd. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and died at the scene.
 
Nash is described as a black male standing 5′ 6″ tall, weighing 140 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

Nash’s last known address was in the 900 block of Dixie St. in  Natchitoches.
 
According to Chief Investigator Greg Dunn, several detectives with assistance from patrol deputies processed the crime scene and gathered evidence to obtain an arrest warrant for Nash.

Nash has a prior criminal history including weapons violations.

Nash has been entered into the National Crime Information Center Database as a Wanted Person for Murder. 
 
Investigators ask that if you see Nash, do not approach him, but to contact the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-352-6432, 318-357-7830, 911 or your local law enforcement agency.
