The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the victim in a Tuesday afternoon motorcycle crash.

Around 2:00 p.m., troopers responded to a motorcycle crash on County Road 1707 in Cherokee County, about 10 miles south of Jacksonville.

The preliminary crash investigative report indicates a motorcycle, driven by Danny Crouch, 68, of Rusk, was traveling south on Farm-to-Market Road 1910, entering a sharp left curve in the roadway.

DPS says Crouch failed to negotiate the curve, left the roadway, crossed a grass median at the intersection of FM 1910 and CR 1707, where the motorcycle overturned, throwing Crouch off.

Crouch was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Brenda Dominy and his body was taken to Wallace Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.
