An East Texas high school football coach is stepping down from his position.

According to Mt. Pleasant Superintendent Judd Marshall, on Monday, he and Athletic Director/Head Football Coach Corey Homer mutually agreed to part ways as far as coaching and leading the school’s athletic department.

Homer will stay in his current position until the AD/HC vacancy can be filled.

Marshall said Homer has been offered another administrative position within the school district.
