SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A local family is still waiting for answers, following a fatal car crash.
On March 21st, Shreveport native Mickey Pouncy Jones was using the ride-sharing app Lyft in Atlanta.
A semi-truck crashed into the car he was riding in, instantly killing him. Detectives say the Lyft driver, 29-year-old Aaron Ragins ran a red light, which led to the fatal crash.
“Some kind of action needs to be taken from the police department,” says his sister Lisa McDonald. “There should be a jail sentence because of course someone’s life was taken. Not just someone but my brother, Mickey Pouncy Jones.”
The accident report says criminal charges are pending, but Jones’ family is still waiting to learn when an arrest will be made.
