Although Christmas decorations in the attic were lost, Shreveport Firefighters were able to contain a fire in the Highland area this morning.

It happened just before 11 today on Rutherford Street, between Line Avenue and Thornhill. It took 25 firefighters around 20 minutes to bring the fire under control.

The people inside the home, as well as their pets, all got out of the house and there were no injuries reported.

Investigators are at the scene now trying to find the cause of the fire
