Flu season still in full blast

The flu can come on out of nowhere if you don’t take your health seriously.

“It comes on suddenly,” said nurse Tameshia Shaw. You have some of the common cold symptoms you wouldn’t even think that’s flu. Only way to really know is to get tested.”

One of the best ways to avoid the flu is to be vaccinated before it’s too late.

“Whether statistically it’s ten percent effective or not, I’ll take ten percent,” said family nurse practitioner Lindsey Fortenberry. “Not only that, even if you get the flu with the flu shot, it’s going to lessen the severity of your syptoms. If you’re sick and you think you have the flu, please don’t go to work. Please don’t send your children to school. Please stay home with your children.”
