Former Shreveport woman shares video of mass shooting experience

A former Shreveport couple who now lives in Las Vegas were attending the concert when the shooting took place and posted video of what they experienced on social media.

Kyndra Lea posted several videos which show the chaos during the shooting. She declined to speak over-the-phone about it, but allowed us to show what she experienced. We want to warn viewers that some of the images are graphic.

Lea’s cell phone video starts off before the shooting starting with a look-around of the concert festival. You can see the Mandalay Bay hotel in the background. Music is playing and the concert-goers below appear to be dancing and having a good time. But video later, you can hear people yelling and they filter down stairs with bloodstains on the steps. At one point. she and a large group of people are seen hiding inside a room together. They’re shouting at one another to keep the door closed and keep their heads down as gunshots ring out in the background. Later they made it out of the room and Lea kept recording as masses of people run and walk to an unknown location, mostly trying to exit the festival grounds. Some are shouting and crying, while mostly just trying to get out. The video ends with her and others making their way to the street where police lights are coming from.
On Lea’s Facebook page she did say she was safe and was not hurt. With a final post to pray for her city of Las Vegas.
