Friend mourns loss of family in tragic Canada crash

Local News

Ed Caskey “We’re just begging for prayers,” says Ed Caskey as he mourns the loss of friends and a fellow church member.

A family vacation turned for the worse for a Bossier City family that was apart of a head on collision in Alberta, Canada.

“They were just on a family vacation they go on every year together,” says Caskey.

The accident happened Tuesday night. Angela Elkins and her son-in-law, Nick Copeland both died in the crash.

Angela’s husband Curtis Elkins and their daughter Sarah Copeland both survived the crash.

We’re told, they are in critical condition.

The Copeland’s son, William who is just a toddler was unharmed.

“We don’t know how that happened, but God just wasn’t ready,” said Caskey.

Caskey says the Elkins were heavily involved in church.

“They were just good people. Curtis and Angela has done alot for this church. It’s just a bad day but we’re not going to ask God why. We’re not supposed to question him.”
