Hearings held to address TSA allegations

These aren’t the stories of long lines at the airport.  These are stories of sexual harassment, low morale, retaliation and fear inside the Transportation Security Administration.

Congress held a hearing to determine how bad the TSA workplace might be and what’s being done to solve the problems, so the TSA can focus on keeping Americans safe when they travel.

Lawmakers say the agency charged with safeguarding America’s aviation system failed to provide a safe work environment.

A report claims senior leaders would discriminate against employees and would reassign workers as retaliation for pointing out misconduct by senior officials.

In addition to management problems, officials say a congressional investigation revealed serious vulnerabilities in TSA security screening operations.
