A man who stole a cellphone from a convenience store in July probably didn’t know he was starring in a movie, but that’s exactly what happened.
This afternoon, photos from that movie were released by Shreveport police and CrimeStoppers, so all the world can see the star of this little crime drama.
It happened on July 24 when the victim entered the Valero convenience store in the 600 block of East 70th Street. The victim made a purchase and accidently left his cell phone on the store’s counter.
The victim drove away, but minutes later realized he forgot his phone and returned to get it, only to learn it was no longer there.
However, the in-store video camera captured a sticky-fingered black male with a short beard and wearing a camouflage hat, blue or dark grey shirt and jeans, reaching under the credit card machine and taking the victim’s phone.
The suspect was accompanied by a black female with short hair wearing a white tank top and patterned white pants.
The couple then departed in an older model white car.
Unfortunately, the camera only picks up video, so investigators released the images from the video hope to get the star of this movie identified…
