Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson stopped by Genoa Central School District on Tuesday to encourage students to enroll in computer science and coding courses.
Hutchinson told students that no matter their career choice, the ability to code could help them. He added that it’s important for Arkansas students to learn the skills needed to fill tech jobs in the state. “This is about broadening their view of the world and seeing the role that computer programming plays in every aspect of our life,” Hutchinson said.
Governor Hutchinson has visited more than sixty Arkansas schools.
