CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) The ramp from I-20 eastbound to I-49 southbound will be closed from 8 p.m. today until 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
This closure is related to a project to repair joints on the bridge decks of I-20 in Caddo, Bienville and Webster Parishes, as well as I-49 in Caddo Parish.
Additionally, intermittent nightly lane closures will begin Wednesday at the I-20 interchange with I-49 in Shreveport.
Motorists can expect Phase 1 of nightly lane closures to begin on the following bridges in Caddo Parish:
• I-20 westbound ramp to I-49 southbound
• Murphy Street on-ramp to I-49 southbound
• I-49 northbound ramp to I-20 eastbound
The earliest these nighttime lane closures will begin is 7 p.m., and all lanes will be open by 6 a.m. the following day.
Daytime lane closures will be permitted on weekends, but not during the week. This phase is anticipated to last approximately three weeks.
Subsequent phases of joint repairs will follow on other areas of the interstate, and further notices will be issued at that time.
