In the Courts: Arraignment set for three accused in Chatéri Payne homicide

(KTAL/KMSS) An arraignment date has been set for the three men accused in the January death of a Shreveport police officer, after 2nd degree murder indictments were handed down against them last week. 

Treveon Anderson, 26; Lawrence Pierre, 21; and Glenn Frierson, 38, with second degree murder in the death January 9, 2019, shooting death of Chatéri Payne, will be arraigned April 30.

The men will be arraigned before District Judge John Mosely, who is presiding over their trials. 

Payne was shot multiple times outside of a home in the 1600 block of Midway Ave. on the evening of January 9. At the time of the shooting, Payne was in uniform and headed in to work her overnight shift.
