The community will never forget Joshua Kidd.
He was a Barksdale airman, a devoted father and husband. His memory lives on through the lives of his toddler son and also through the community at Green Acres.
“Support this family,” said Airline Baptist Associate Pastor Harold Shelton. “Reach out and touch, share and love this family.”
Kidd was shot and killed in his own neighborhood on Tuesday and there are limited details at this time.
The community says they will not focus on the gory details of the incident, but focus on the positive aspects of his life.
“Listen, we’re going to hurt,” said pastor Terry Young. “We’re going to hurt so bad and the only proper thing to say is we have a heavenly father that cares for us. That’s what they’re facing.”
