Arkansas State Police are reminding drivers that they’ll enforce a highway law.
In a tweet, Troopers say it’s illegal to ‘drive continuously in the left lane of a multilane highway whenever it impedes the flow of other traffic.’
ATTENTION LEFT LANE DRIVERS! Troopers enforce this law, but the best way to combat this is to educate the ones who are unaware! In Arkansas “Motor vehicles shall not be operated continuously in the left lane of a multilane roadway whenever it impedes the flow of other traffic.” pic.twitter.com/PhUiqtIw83— AR State Police (@ARStatePolice) June 19, 2018
The warning came after a Indiana State Trooper pulled over a car driving too slow in the left lane.
I stopped this vehicle today for a left lane violation on I-65. The driver had approximately 20 cars slowed behind her because she would not move back to the right lane.
Again…if there are vehicles behind you, you must move to the right lane to allow them to pass. pic.twitter.com/tePjJ1Xigy— Sgt. Stephen Wheeles (@ISPVersailles) June 16, 2018
