Being energy efficient is paying off for LifeShare Blood Center.
On Wednesday SWEPCO presented LifeShare with a rebate check totaling $20,482.71 for fulfilling the terms of SWEPCO’s “Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Program.”
LifeShare’s investment in upgrading 904 incandescent and florescent light bulbs with light-emitting diodes (LED) lighting throughout both the interior and exterior of the blood center. LifeShare will achieve an annual energy savings of $13,000 annually.
“We’re connecting donors and the lives they impact, more efficiently”, says Jorge Garcia, LifeShares’ Director of Property and Fleet.
SWEPCO also has energy efficiency programs for residential customers.
