BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Changes are coming to one of the area’s largest churches following a devastating fire during the winter.
The old steeple recently came down at First Bossier on East Texas Street in Bossier City.
This past Sunday, plans were unveiled to the congregation on the facility’s rebuild.
The pastor says plans are moving full-speed ahead to get things back to normal.
“We’ve got some good elevations of the new property. The new buildings, and those are all very exciting. So we’re doing somethings to our current facility, some upgrades that we planned on and that will be done by August,” said Dr. Brad Jurkovich the pastor at First Bossier. “But then really this fall we’ll start seeing some preparations for the new facilities.”
Jurkovich says he hopes construction will begin next year.
