A Little Rock Police Department helicopter crashed as it was taking off.
One serious injury has been reported, and a second person who was on board is reported as not injured. Police say the injured man, the pilot, is a retired officer who has a head injury. He had to be extricated from the wreckage.
Officials say a new battery had been installed on the chopper and they were trying to take off to test it when wind blew the helicopter over as the blades were spinning.
