Two women accused of allegedly defrauding the bank where they were employed.
Kristy Fleming, 52, and Natalie Morgan, 39, are charged with several counts of forgery and fraud while working as an insurance producer and her assistant respectively at Gibsland Bank and Trust (d/b/a GBT Insurance Agency).
After learning there were warrants issued for their arrest, both women turned themselves in on Friday, Sept. 21.
The six-month investigation by the Louisiana State Police Insurance Fraud and Auto Theft Unit (IFAT) In March of 2018 regarding forged documents that were sent to Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Louisiana, Mutual of Omaha and Colonial Life Insurance companies.
LSP-IFAT detectives concluded the investigation last week, which resulted in warrants being issued for Fleming and Morgan of Shreveport.
Morgan was charged with one count each of Identity Theft, Forgery and Computer Fraud; while Fleming was charged with five counts of identity theft, five counts of forgery and five counts of computer fraud.
Fleming’s bond was set at $20,000.00 and Morgan’s bond was set at $15,000.
