“This is the first time we’ve ever had an ambulance come up missing from the Ruston Fire Department in my history and I’ve been here 28 years,” said Ruston Fire Public Information Officer, Eric Brazzel.
39-year-old Stevie Jerome Palmer was in a car accident earlier in the day and taken by ambulance to Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston. He apparently didn’t want medical attention.
Just a few hours later he walked out of the hospital and jumped into an unlocked ambulance.
