Ouachita Parish deputies have arrested a West Monroe man after he reportedly threatened to shoot everyone at his place of work.
Kyle Moore, 39 of West Monroe, was arrested early Tuesday (12/12/2017) morning around 12:33 a.m.
According to the arrest report, the victim told deputies he received text messages from an employee of his showing some threats later identified as Kyle Moore.
In those messages, Kyle said he was going to go to the business on Tuesday, and shoot everyone there, specifically naming some people in the process.
Moore also sent a picture of a silver/black Smith and Wesson 9mm semi-automatic pistol, which was being held in his right hand.
A check of Moore’s criminal history showed him to be a convicted felon. Deputies observed screen shots of the threatening messages on the victim’s phone.
Deputies contacted Moore during the execution of a search warrant at his residence, and he was placed into custody.
Moore claimed he didn’t remember sending any of the threatening messages.
He said no one else had his phone when the messages were sent though.
Moore has been booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on charges of terrorizing and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
His bond has been set at $45,000.00.
