$235 can be a lot during the holidays.
“That don’t make no sense,” said resident Rudolph Glass. “I didn’t feel like there was no need in moving it after I had seen there were a lot more inoperable vehicles on the street.”
Glass went in front of city council on Tuesday to dispute his truck being towed just days before. Shreveport Property’s Standards towed the vehicle because it was inoperable and needed to be soon. But, Glass did not have the money to pay for it.
Glass says there are more vehicles on his street that have the same issue.
“We are in the process of clearing mostly everything in that area,” said Property Standards Chief Supervisor Terrance Green. “We towed three vehicles the day before Mr. Glass even came into the office.”
Green also says, this is not a personal issue.
“We’re not picking on him,” Green says. “Like I told Mr. Glass, I don’t even know him.”
