Man shot multiple times during argument in East Texas, suspect arrested

A late night shooting lands one East Texas man in the hospital and another behind bars.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of West Greenfield.

When Wake Village Police arrived they discovered 35-year-old Jesse Scott Burns had been shot multiple
times. 

Investigators believe Clifton Rushing Jr. shot Burns after an argument turned physical. 

Burns was taken to a local hospital where he was rushed to emergency surgery. 

Rushing was booked into jail at the Bi-State Justice Building for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
