Shreveport Police investigators are probing a Monday evening shooting which sent one man to the hospital in west Shreveport.
Just after 7:00 p.m. on August 6, 2018, Shreveport Police patrol officers were called to a shooting in the 4500 block of Rochester Drive. As officers arrived at the scene, it was learned the victim, 29 year old Martez Hublin was suffering a single gunshot wound to the midsection. Hublin was taken from the scene by ambulance, to University Health where he was last listed in serious condition.
Based on preliminary information gathered, it is believed the victim and shooter were initially engaged in a verbal dispute while standing near the intersection of Kennedy Drive at Illinois Street. It was during that time, the unknown male pulled out a firearm and shot the victim before fleeing from the scene. The victim was taken by private vehicle to a location in the 4500 block of Rochester Drive where the victim was contacted by medical staff. At current, authorities have not identified a suspect in the shooting.
