Man sought for felony battery

Shreveport Police are searching for a man accused of battering a woman following an argument early last week.
On August 6, 2018, just before 2:00 a.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 8000 block of Line Avenue on reports of a battery. The victim advised that she and her friend, 32-year-old Clarence Ruffin, last known address in the 1700 block of Audrey Lane, engaged in an argument and he punched her several times in the mouth causing lacerations that required sutures. Several of her teeth were knocked loose as well requiring her to need braces.
Investigators with the Domestic Violence Unit followed up on the incident and after interviews with the victim procured a warrant for Ruffin charging him with one count of 2nd Degree Battery. No bond was set.
