The Marshall Police Department has arrested a man responsible for shooting another man over the weekend. On Friday, June 29 at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers received reports that a person had been shot in the 1600 block of Carters Ferry Road. A short time later, an adult male arrived at the emergency room at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim’s injuries were described as non-life threatening.
During their investigation, detectives learned that 25-year-old Quaylon Rashard Dixon, of Marshall, allegedly shot the victim during a dispute. A warrant was issued for Dixon charging him with one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
On July 3, 2018, Quaylon Rashard Dixon turned himself in to detectives at the Marshall Police Department. Dixon was transported to the Harrison County Jail, where he was released into their custody
