The Martin Luther King – Community Development Corporation is teaming up with a local church to make sure students have uniforms for the new school year.
The MLK-CDC and Lake Bethlehem Baptist Church are holding the annual school uniform giveaway at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at the David Raines Community Center in Shreveport.
Parents must attend the parenting forum. Uniform vouchers will be issued on a first come first served basis, while supplies last.
Parents must present proof of income such as check stubs or food stamp budget sheet along with the student’s last report card or enrollment information.
Vouchers will be issued 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 and from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 and between 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10.
