A woman accused of attacking her children, and even biting one of them on the arm is now behind bars.

According to a police reporter from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, 55 year old Muntaeha Ahmed, of Monroe, is charged with two felony counts of Cruelty to Juveniles.

Deputies say on Saturday, they were called to a home on York Drive in Monroe for a domestic disturbance complaint. When they arrived, three juveniles living there say their mother abused them on a regular basis, two of them saying Ahmed hit them with a stick that day.

The responding deputy said he could see welts on the two of children.

One of the daughters also told deputies Ahmed bit her on the left forearm. According to the report, teeth marks were visible, but the skin was not broken.

Deputies say they had to get an interpreter to speak with and mirandize Ahmed. When asked why she bit one of the children, deputies say Ahmed told them she has diabetes and didn’t realize what she had done.

All three female juveniles told deputies they feared Ahmed would abuse them again once she gets out of the Ouachita Correctional Center.

Ahmed has a bond of $6,000.
