Mother of inmate: “Something needs to be done”

Family members of inmates are coming together to fight for what they claim is the alleged mistreatment of inmates.
Organizers say they want to see a better response to medical care at the Bi-State Jail.
Jennifer Houser’s daughter died of diabetic complications in July of 2016.
She was found unresponsive in a medical observation cell and forced to eat sugar.
Today her mother is teaming up with other parents to make a change
“As a mother I don’t want another mother to have to go through what I’ve went through and be helpless. It’s got to change,” said Houser.
“It’s going to be more to come. this is not the end and something needs to be done,” said Rosalind Witcher, mother of current  inmate.
The Justice For All Rally is this Saturday at one pm. in front of the Bi-State Building.
