Neighbors in Vivian say they’re in shock Monday night following the arrest of a 14 year old for the stabbing of a woman and dog.
Deputies learned of the attack, Sunday night when the victim Annette Moore walked into North Caddo Medical Center with a non-life threatening knife wound.
She told deputies she and the teen were watching television when he left the room and returned with a knife and cut her. As he left the house, he also cut the family dog.
Archie Gryder says, “He’s always on his bicycle, riding around. My son is also the same age as him and they’re friends. So yes, he’s been around my little girl. We just had no idea. It came out of nowhere. This kid seems normal. Just lost it, I guess.”
After the attack investigators say the boy jumped on a four-wheeler and took off. The Caddo Sheriff’s Office used K9s and a drone to search for him.
The 14 year old turned himself in to authorities at 3:30 Monday morning. He was booked into the Caddo Juvenile Detention Center for aggravated second-degree battery and aggravated cruelty to animals.
