The Desoto Parish School Board names the district’s next superintendent.
In a six to four vote the board selected Clay Corley.
He is currently the network deputy leader for the Louisiana Department of Education.
He started his teaching career in Vernon parish and later served as the interim superintendent in Sabine parish.
Corley said, “I’m excited about the opportunity, just very grateful. I know it’s a big job but I think I’m up to it, and I’m looking forward to making a difference and serving the students here in Desoto.”
His start date will be Tuesday May 8th.
