The SporTran movement is heading north.
“Some of the Russell Road routes, the MLK area and the North Market route will change around a bit,” said SporTran CEO Dinero Washington. “The North Market route will serve this area.”
Washington announced the move today at Shreveport’s City Council meeting. He says the new routes should go into effect at the start of next year.
One man says the area has been in need of the route for a while.
“I think it would be splendid,” said resident Anthony Griffin. “A lot of people actually need a bus route through here. On rainy days, we really need it.”
