On the Move with Nikki: ATV Safety

Local News

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — It’s warm outside and a perfect time to go for a drive in an ATV.

Driving an ATV is super fun but it can be very dangerous.  Every year thousands of people are injured in ATV accidents.

Louisiana Power Sports Sales Manager Scottie Davis recommends taking a safety training class before you buy an ATV.

Davis says parents also need to keep in mind that there are age limits for both youth and full-size models.

And wearing protective gear should be a top priority.  Whether you are driving or riding in an ATV it’s extremely important to put on a helmet and safety goggles.
