SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins says he is postponing his Shreveport Airport Authority board appointments at this time.
Perkins initially wanted to replace three board members, citing changes in the future of the airport. One Shreveport city councilman, Grayson Boucher wanted to wait on an attorney general’s opinion before making such a rash decision – citing possible legal challenges from the decision.
Perkins decided on Monday to delay his push for new appointments, saying the Federal Aviation Authority will be considering future funding in May for the airport in the future.
He says he will have to focus on stability at the current time and keeping the current board members there until the FAA makes their decision.
