Police: Apartment manager keeps rent money; charged with theft

Natchitoches Police say an apartment manager in Natchitoches is facing charges for keeping rent money for herself.

Police say on November 14 they responded to the Magnolia Place Apartments in reference to a theft complaint. The property manager told them a large amount of money was missing from the apartment’s bank deposits. 

Police were able to determine that the thefts that totaled approximately $1,800. 

Police say based on the information provided, they were able to recover evidence that revealed that the complexes’ day manager, Heather Dickens had committed the thefts by keeping various rent payments for herself.

Arrested was twenty-seven Dickens on one count theft. Dickens was later booked and transported to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center where she awaits bond.
