Police seek help finding suspect who allegedly abused woman and endangered her child

Shreveport Police investigators are seeking the whereabouts of a man accused of domestic abuse battery from earlier this month.

Shon Coleman, 31, is wanted on one count each of domestic abuse battery and strangulation, domestic abuse battery and child endangerment and false imprisonment.

On December 1, 2018, Shreveport Police patrol officers were called to the 400 block of Olive Street relative to a physical domestic call.

Upon their arrival, officers learned a female victim was allegedly strangled around the neck by her child’s father, who fled the scene prior to officers arrival.

Since the investigation began, police detectives have gathered information and evidence leading them to name Shon Coleman as a suspect in the crime.

A warrant has been issued for Coleman’s arrest and investigators are asking anyone with the whereabouts of Coleman to contact them at 318-673-6955. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Shreveport Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318 673-7373 or via their app, P3Tips.
