Red Pandas cubs make their debut

Local News

An animal that’s increasingly rare in the wild makes a debut at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney.

Red Panda cubs are native to the Himalayas but there’s less than ten-thousand still alive.

Luckily, thanks to the zoo this is the second-time mother Amala gave birth to three new cubs.

They have names with Nepalese and Hindi inspiration, the two males were named Rohan – meaning ascending – and Ishwar – meaning powerful and their sister was named Mishry – meaning sweat.
