The third special session of 2018 is scheduled to start today and Representative Ted James will offer his thoughts on the gathering at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, June 18.
This special session marks the seventh such session since Governor John Bel Edwards took office.
Rep. Ted James is the vice-chair of the Louisiana Black Caucus and according to the Press Club, James will focus on the vote to renew “part of a sales tax that expires on June 30.”
The meeting will occur in the East and West Baton Rouge Room of the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel.
According to the Press Club, attendees can park for free in the garage off Mayflower Street.
If you are interested in lunch it will be served at 11:30 a.m. at a cost of $13 for members and $17 for nonmembers.
The Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel is located at 102 France St.
