Reward offered in Benton homicide

Up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the homicide of a Benton man.

Thirty-one-year-old Caleb Pippenger was found dead just before 10 p.m. Friday in the yard of his residence at the 100 block of Post Oak Drive Friday night during a family get-together.

After the Bossier Coroner ruled Pippenger died of a gunshot wound, Bossier Parish Sheriff’s detectives began their investigation and have been working around the clock since, according to BPSO Lt. Bill Davis.

Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington is encouraging anyone with any information about this case or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area of Post Oak Drive, Cypress Grove Circle, or on Crouch Road between the hours of 8 and 10 p.m. on Friday night to please contact Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100.
