Jayson Richardson easily won the race for DeSoto Parish Sheriff.
He defeated Mansfield Police Chief Gary Hobbs.
Richardson, who became interim sheriff when Rodney Arbuckle resigned earlier this year, will serve the remainder of Arbuckle’s term.
